Job Description: Job Overview The Senior Analyst will be responsible for overseeing OSFI Capital reporting processes, providing support and guidance to capital reporting analysts on ongoing monthly reporting deliverables. The role will also lead data-driven process improvement initiatives, leveraging advanced analytical, automation, and visualization tools to streamline reporting workflows, enhance controls, improve data quality, and increase operational efficiency.The Senior Analyst will also be responsible for managing relationships with the business and stakeholders on key capital initiatives, such as implementation of new products into the OSFI capital calculations and providing meaningful reporting/analysis to influence business behavior, strategic decision making and optimal balance sheet usage. Job Description Collaborate with other line of businesses, technology partners, the business and other relevant stakeholders to ensure OSFI regulatory rules are well understood/interpreted and calculation assumptions accurately capture business rationale. Support the development and implementation of new financial models, capital treatment, methodologies, frameworks and paradigms to support on-going business unit reporting and analysis functions. Provide meaningful reporting/analysis to influence business behavior, strategic decision making and optimal balance sheet usage. As the subject matter expert, provide guidance and recommendations to the Business on capital related matters. Lead automation and process optimization initiatives across OSFI Capital reporting, leveraging tools such as Python, SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, and Power Query to improve efficiency, scalability, control effectiveness, and reporting timeliness. Design, develop, and maintain analytical solutions, dashboards, and automated reporting processes to enhance data quality, provide actionable business insights, and reduce reliance on manual processes and end-user computing (EUC) tools. Support the execution and onboarding of new products in the TDS capital calculation process to ensure compliance with all existing rules and integration into the capital calculation processes. Provide accurate and thorough capital impact analysis on new capital initiatives; interpret findings, identify issues and propose possible solutions. Support testing and updates to the Basel Reporting Services & RWA Calculator and upstream data pipeline. Work closely and manage relationships with different stakeholders from several groups i.e. Treasury and Balance Sheet Management, Finance Shared Services, Technology, Accounting, Front Office, Audit etc. Additional Information The ideal candidate will possess: Strong data analytics, automation, and process optimization skills, with experience leveraging tools such as Python, SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, Power Query, and advanced Excel Sound understanding of wholesale banking products including derivative instruments and a good grasp of quantitative data analysis An independent thinker with strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to solve complex issues Self-starter; willingness to take initiatives for continuous learning and
