## Description

NVIDIA is powering the next generation of AI computing, and our firmware team helps turn groundbreaking technology into production datacenters. We are looking for a Senior SBIOS Firmware Engineer to help customers bring NVIDIA platforms to life—from initial system bring-up and reference platform qualification through deployment at scale. In this role, you will work at the intersection of firmware engineering, platform architecture, and customer enablement. You will help build the infrastructure that powers AI while using AI tools to accelerate development, solve complex system problems, and improve how we deliver reliable platforms to customers. What you’ll be doing: Developing, integrating, and debugging SBIOS firmware for NVIDIA datacenter reference platforms and customer systems. Helping customers, OEMs, and ODMs bring up, qualify, and deploy NVIDIA platforms by resolving firmware issues, guiding platform integration, and translating deployment requirements into engineering improvements. Supporting reference platforms across the product lifecycle, establishing validated firmware configurations, documenting platform behavior, and making solutions reusable across customer designs. Investigating complex issues across firmware, hardware, BMC, and operating system boundaries, including boot, hardware initialization, PCIe enumeration, memory configuration, performance, and reliability. Partnering with hardware, firmware, software, validation, and customer engineering teams to drive issues from reproduction and root cause analysis through verified fixes and customer adoption. Using AI-assisted development, debugging, and automation to analyze logs, accelerate root cause investigation, improve test coverage, and turn recurring support problems into scalable engineering solutions. Developing diagnostic tools, automated tests, and technical guidance that improve platform readiness and help customers deploy and operate systems successfully. Communicating technical findings, risks, and resolution plans clearly to internal teams and external partners. What we need to see: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field—or equivalent experience—with 5+ years of relevant experience. Strong experience developing and debugging System BIOS/UEFI firmware on ARM or x86 server platforms, including familiarity with EDK II architecture. Solid understanding of server architecture, including processor initialization, memory systems, PCIe, interrupts, boot flows, and interactions among SBIOS, BMC, and the operating system. Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex system issues using firmware logs, operating system diagnostics, hardware interfaces, and structured experiments. Experience supporting server bring-up, platform qualification, or customer deployment, with ownership of technical issues through resolution. Strong C programming skills and experience using Python or shell scripting to build diagnostic tools and automate engineering workflows. Hands-on experience applying AI tools to software development, debugging, testing, or technical analysis, with the engineering judgment to independently verify generated code and conclusions. Understanding of server reliability, availability, and serviceability (RAS), firmware security, and the requirements of production datacenter environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate directly with customers and partners and drive progress across global engineering teams. Ways to stand out from the crowd: Proven experience enabling customer deployments of NVIDIA CPU or GPU server platforms, from early bring-up through production. Deep expertise in ARM server architecture, UEFI, ACPI, SMBIOS, or firmware interfaces with Linux. Experience debugging issues that span SBIOS, BMC, and platform management interfaces such as IPMI, MCTP, and PLDM. A track record of building AI-assisted engineering
