Your Impact As a software developer on our team, you will be a driving force behind crafting user-friendly, reliable software and tools for our next-generation SaaS platform infrastructure. Responsibilities May Include: Platform Engineering: Design, implement, and scale multi-region Kubernetes clusters across private and public cloud infrastructure. Automation & CI/CD: Build robust automation pipelines and tooling for cluster provisioning, upgrades, patching, and configuration management. Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce strict security baselines and vulnerability management across all container environments. Technical Leadership: Participate in technical design reviews and drive architectural decisions that shape the future of our next-generation infrastructure. AI & Agent Development: Design and deploy AI agents to automate complex platform workflows and decision-making processes. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 2–3 years of professional work experience. Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java. Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals and software engineering, with an aptitude for learning new technologies. Hands-on experience with coding, testing, and debugging. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in Linux, networking fundamentals, and operating system principles. Experience with Kafka, PostgreSQL, web application development, and distributed system design. Programming expertise in Go, Java, or Python, with a strong focus on Kubernetes and open-source. Solid understanding of software design, algorithms, and clean coding practices. Experience using AI-powered tools to enhance development efficiency and streamline workflows. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with computer networking and cybersecurity best practices. Practical knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure. Why Cisco?
