Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join PayPal’s Global Collections Strategy team. In this role, you will develop innovative, data-driven collections tools and strategies, with a primary focus on Venmo BNPL, while supporting other PayPal products, including BNPL, Wallet, Credit Card, and Merchant Lending as needed. You will partner across Credit Strategy, Fraud, Second Line, and Operations to deliver holistic, customer-centric strategies that balance business performance, operational efficiency, and risk. Using SQL, Python, AI, and advanced analytics, you will transform complex data into actionable insights and build scalable, reusable solutions for portfolio measurement, A/B testing, and performance analysis. You will also communicate findings and recommendations clearly and succinctly through compelling verbal and PowerPoint presentations. Job Description: Essential Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of advanced data science models. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements. Drive best practices in data science. Ensure data quality and integrity in all processes. Mentor and guide junior data scientists. Stay updated with the latest trends in data science. Minimum Qualifications: 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
