## Description

The Product Knowledge Team builds the foundation that powers Amazon's shopping experiences worldwide. We develop standardized, semantically rich product knowledge — increasingly powered by AI/ML-driven automation and classification — that drives customer discovery, selling partner success, and internal data enrichment across the world's largest ecommerce catalog. As part of the broader Amazon Selection and Catalog Systems (ASCS) organization, our vision is to (1) unblock ingestion at scale so external and complex selection enters the catalog without funnel loss, (2) ensure accurate product identity and categorization through the ingestion and fulfillment pipelines — leveraging AI/ML models to automate classification and improve accuracy at scale, and (3) operate as the reliable knowledge partner for Retail Stores operations across the categorization and fulfillment path. Key job responsibilities Own end-to-end program delivery for selection ingestion and categorization initiatives — from strategy definition and requirements gathering through technical design, implementation, launch, and post-launch measurement of business impact, including programs that leverage AI/ML to automate and scale product knowledge operations Drive cross-functional collaboration between engineering, ontology, applied science, fulfillment, and business teams across the ingestion stack — aligning priorities, resolving dependencies, and ensuring teams deliver cohesively against shared milestones Provide regular updates to senior leadership on program status, risks, and impact — including written narratives, business reviews, and executive briefings that connect technical progress to business outcomes Influence product roadmaps using data-driven frameworks — leveraging catalog health metrics, ingestion funnel data, categorization accuracy signals, and AI/ML model performance insights to prioritize the highest-impact initiatives Identify and remove blockers to help teams move quickly — proactively surfacing risks, escalating cross-team dependencies, and driving resolution so programs stay on track Improve how we track goals, status, and business metrics — building mechanisms, dashboards, and reporting cadences that give the team and leadership clear visibility into progress, outcomes, and AI model effectiveness Mentor peers and evangelize product knowledge and categorization solutions across Amazon — sharing best practices, driving adoption of scalable approaches, and raising the bar on program management within the organization A day in the life As a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) on our team, you'll lead programs that directly impact how selection enters and is categorized in Amazon's catalog. You'll collaborate with Ontology Managers, Software Development Managers, knowledge builders, and partner teams across the ingestion and fulfillment stack to deliver solutions that unblock selection at scale. You'll also build strategic partnerships across Amazon — working with retail businesses, operations, listing partners, and fulfillment teams to translate business needs into technical solutions that keep the catalog accurate and complete. Basic qualifications - 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience - 5+ years of technical product or program management experience - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules - Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering - Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps - Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design Preferred qualifications - 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience - Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership - Experience in
