The Co-op term is six months typically from January to June, 2027 (flexible). Full time requirement (40 hours per week) Fully On-site. Purpose: Support the Drug Product Development & Delivery (DPD&D) team in the development and characterization of protein-based drug products by conducting laboratory experiments, analyzing data, and chipping in to formulation and stability studies. The Co-op will gain hands-on experience with biologics, formulation science, experimental design, and analytical characterization techniques within a pharmaceutical R&D environment. You will be responsible: Learning formulation techniques to prepare and compound drug products for stability studies. Utilizing analytical characterization tools such as micro-flow imaging, dynamic light scattering, turbidity measurements, and protein concentration analysis. Applying Design of Experiments (DoE) principles to evaluate formulation variables and understand relationships between excipient degradation, enzyme type, enzyme concentration, and formulation conditions. Analyzing and interpreting experimental data using analytical and statistical methods. Participating in technical discussions and weekly meetings with internal and external collaborators. Maintaining laboratory notebooks and technical documentation in accordance with established guidelines. Supporting research activities related to protein formulation development and drug product characterization. Providing additional project support and contributing to team objectives as needed. Qualifications / Requirements: Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required. Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework. You must not have any Summer Internship contract or other employment commitment that could interfere with the contract dates specified for this position. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's , Master's, or PhD degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related fields. Candidates must be actively enrolled in an accredited University for the duration of the Co-op assignment. Previous laboratory experience with at least three (3) months in a chemistry, biology, or engineering laboratory is required.
