The Co-op term is six months typically from January to June, 2027 (flexible). Full time requirement (40 hours per week) Fully On-site. Purpose: The TDS Proteins Development Cell Engineering, Analytics & Screening (CEAS) organization is seeking a highly motivated Co-Op to support cell line engineering and research activities focused on improving biotherapeutic protein expression and cell culture performance. In this role, the Co-Op will investigate cellular stress and secretory pathways in CHO cell systems to identify potential expression bottlenecks and support the evaluation of novel targets associated with protein production, folding, and secretion. This opportunity provides hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture, molecular biology techniques, experimental design, and data analysis while collaborating with multidisciplinary scientific teams. You will be responsible: Investigating stress and secretory pathways in engineered and wild-type CHO cell hosts to identify potential bottlenecks affecting protein expression. Supporting cell line engineering studies aimed at improving protein production, folding, and secretion. Collaborating with proteomics and other cross-functional scientific teams to evaluate and validate novel cell engineering targets. Conducting laboratory experiments using aseptic cell culture and molecular biology techniques. Supporting experimental characterization using techniques such as Western blot analysis, RT-qPCR, digital PCR, and flow cytometry, as applicable. Analyzing and interpreting experimental results using analytical and statistical approaches. Participating in experimental design discussions and technical problem-solving to address knowledge gaps and advance research objectives. Communicating experimental findings and actively participating in meetings with internal and external collaborators. Maintaining accurate laboratory notebooks and technical documentation in accordance with established guidelines. Providing additional laboratory and project support as needed. Qualifications / Requirements: Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
