## Description

About Lucid At Lucid, we are creating exceptional mobility experiences through innovation to drive the world forward. Built on Lucid’s proprietary technology and software-defined vehicle architecture, our award-winning vehicles bring our “Compromise Nothing™” approach to the global automotive market. That means refusing to choose between performance and sustainability, design and engineering, ambition and integrity. In Lucid Air and Lucid Gravity, we have designed and built vehicles that have redefined their segments, combining exceptional range, performance, design, and expansive space in a single experience. We achieve this through deep vertical integration, with design, engineering, and production happening in-house across our global offices and manufacturing facilities. Our teams come from industries around the world, united by a shared commitment to excellence. By refusing to settle, you can help redefine what’s possible and shape the future of mobility. We are currently seeking a Validation Engineer for our Power Electronics Validation team. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches their work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly, and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment. In this role you will execute component- and system-level validation of power electronics hardware, build and maintain validation setups, and contribute to the development and execution of DVP&Rs under the guidance of senior team members. Responsibilities Execute component- and system-level validation for power electronics products (on-board chargers, DC-DC converters, inverters, and related high voltage assemblies), confirming products meet internal requirements, industry standards, and real-world use conditions. Support the development, execution, and maintenance of DVP&Rs: draft validation cases from requirements, track status and coverage, log results, and report pass/fail against acceptance criteria. Review electrical and mechanical schematics and create validation cell layouts for instrumentation, low voltage, and high voltage circuitry. Build, wire, and commission validation benches including jigs and fixtures, instrumentation, harnessing, and data acquisition systems for performance and reliability evaluation. Contribute to the definition of system-level validation setups, including load and mission profiles, thermal and environmental conditioning, and HV/LV interface configurations, working closely with the lead validation engineer. Perform hands-on validation and troubleshooting using lab equipment (battery simulators, power supplies, E-loads, oscilloscopes, current probes, power analyzers, thermal chambers, DAQ systems). Document validation failures and anomalies, capture supporting data, and escalate findings with clear technical summaries. Process and analyze validation data, generate plots and summary metrics, and author clear, well-organized validation reports. Maintain lab equipment, calibration records, validation documentation, and safe HV lab practices. Collaborate with design, systems, quality, and manufacturing teams to support issue resolution and design iterations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in power electronics development and validation preferred. Good hands-on experience with hardware validation, including bench build-up and instrumentation. Familiarity with various lab equipment (force gauge, thermocouples, power supplies, multimeter, hi-pot tester, oscilloscopes, E-loads, DAQ). Exposure to DVP&R creation and requirements-based validation planning. Knowledge of automotive and industrial environmental reliability requirements (GMW, ISO, IEC standards). Working knowledge of high voltage safety practices and lab safety procedures. Strong technical
