Application Security Technical Lead

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Application Security Technical Lead based in Australia.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to own and continuously improve application security across a diverse technology environment.
You will operate an established Application Security capability while ensuring security practices are embedded effectively throughout the software development lifecycle.
Working across multiple applications and engineering teams, you will tailor security approaches to different levels of technical and security maturity.
The role combines secure code review, threat modelling, security assessments, vulnerability management, and DevSecOps practices.
You will take ownership of AppSec tooling and help integrate effective security testing into CI/CD pipelines without compromising delivery velocity.
A key part of the role will be developing security awareness through Security Champions, developer mentoring, and secure coding practices.
