About the Role
We are looking for a BDR Team Lead to join our Commercial Operations team. This role will serve as a hands-on leader for the BDR team, with primary responsibility for day-to-day coaching, BDR development, workflow refinement, and performance support. The Team Lead will partner closely with BDRs, Regional Vice Presidents of Sales, marketing, and business development leadership to improve execution consistency, pipeline quality, and team effectiveness.
This role carries both a small personal quota and a team quota, but the emphasis is on coaching and enabling others to perform at a high level. The ideal candidate is a strong operator and communicator who can reinforce process discipline, improve outreach quality, support onboarding and ramp, and help the team generate stronger results over time. This is a salary + commission role.
This is a fully remote opportunity within the US.
What You’ll Accomplish
Coach and support BDRs through regular 1:1s, call and email reviews, role plays, and in-the-moment feedback
Monitor and improve team performance across key metrics such as activity pacing, meetings, conversion, CRM hygiene, and lead follow-up
Partner with Regional Vice Presidents of Sales to align on account priorities, discovery-call preparation, communication plans, and next steps
Support onboarding and ramp for new hires through structured training, ongoing coaching, and reinforcement of team processes
Contribute to both personal and team quota attainment through targeted prospecting, strong execution, and consistent operational follow-through
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
4+ years of experience in business development, sales development, sales support, or another quota-carrying commercial role
2+ year of experience coaching, mentoring, onboarding, or leading peers in a sales or business development environment
Experience working cross-functionally with sales and marketing partners in a fast-paced environment
Experience using Salesforce and modern sales engagement tools such as Outreach or Salesloft
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a player-coach, team lead, or hybrid BDR and sales support role
Experience tracking and improving team performance metrics such as meetings, pipeline, conversion rates, SLA adherence, and CRM hygiene
Familiarity with tools such as 6sense, Highspot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and AI-enabled prospecting workflows
Experience supporting complex or multi-threaded deals
Demonstrated tenacity, organization, resilience, and a strong coaching mindset
