Inpatient Audit Specialist PRN

This is a fully remote opportunity for an experienced inpatient coding and auditing professional supporting healthcare organizations with high-quality, compliant coding practices.
You will conduct facility inpatient coding audits across onboarding, focused reviews, service-level agreements, and other specialized engagements.
The role combines detailed chart review with clear, evidence-based recommendations and coder education.
You will work with MS-DRG and APR-DRG methodologies while identifying coding opportunities, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
Success requires strong judgment, excellent query-writing abilities, and the ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining accuracy and turnaround expectations.
This PRN position offers a flexible schedule, with a preference for approximately 20 hours per week, and spinal auditing experience is a plus.
