Manager, Quality Control — BSA/AML & Sanctions Operations

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager, Quality Control — BSA/AML & Sanctions Operations based in the United States.

The Manager, Quality Control will lead the day-to-day operation of an independent quality control function across BSA/AML and sanctions operations.
You will oversee quality reviews across multiple populations, including alerts, cases, complex investigations, merchant acquiring, and sanctions screening.
This role combines people leadership, regulatory expertise, quality assurance, risk-based sampling, and operational oversight in a highly regulated financial environment.
You will establish consistent review standards, maintain robust error taxonomies, and ensure findings are accurately documented, escalated, and resolved.
Working closely with Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, Credit, and operational teams, you will provide objective challenge while preserving the independence of the QC function.
Your analysis and reporting will help identify emerging themes, strengthen controls, improve operational quality, and inform broader BSA/AML governance.
