- Reporting to the Senior Manager, People Business Partner - EPD
As a People Generalist, EPD you’ll …
- Serve as the first line of support for EPD managers and employees - fielding day-to-day HR questions and coaching managers on in-the-moment issues, resolving independently before escalating
- Participate in employee lifecycle events (onboarding, transfers, resignations, offboarding) and help administer related programs such as engagement surveys; understand our leave-of-absence process well enough to guide employees to Benefits and our third-party leave administrator
- Support investigations and performance documentation - maintaining accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality, with the process rigor to keep operational work reliable and repeatable
- Run and communicate business programs end-to-end, including performance review cycles (mid-year and annual), compensation update processes, and L&D initiatives - partnering with cross-functional People Team members (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, L&D, People Ops) to keep them globally consistent
- Navigate a matrixed EPD structure - managing multiple stakeholder relationships (managers, directors, cross-functional People Team partners) simultaneously amid shifting priorities
- Use AI tools and automation to streamline lifecycle administration, program execution, and recurring reporting - reducing manual, repeatable work over time
- Partner closely with your manager to ensure context flows both ways - proactively surfacing patterns and signal from your caseload, and staying looped in on broader organizational context that shapes your work
Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of HR generalist or HR business partner-adjacent experience, ideally supporting technical or product teams
- Strong process discipline - you're the person who makes sure things don't drop
- Experience fielding a high volume of manager and employee questions with independent judgment
You’ll thrive as a People Generalist, EPD if you:
- Default to solving before escalating - you search, you ask the tools, you form a recommendation, then you loop in your manager if you're still stuck
- Like variety and pace over depth in one lane - this role touches lifecycle, programs, and coaching in the same week
- Get genuine satisfaction from operational excellence and flawless execution
- Are comfortable being the “how do we get this done” person
- Are fluent with AI tools - you use them to self-serve answers and automate repetitive process work rather than defaulting to manual execution
- Look for opportunities to automate or systematize recurring tasks (reporting, tracking, communications) rather than reinventing the wheel each cycle
- Are comfortable operating in a highly matrixed, fast-changing organization - where priorities shift, stakeholders are numerous, and lines of ownership aren't always clean
- Can build effective working relationships across multiple People Team functions (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, L&D, People Ops) and EPD stakeholders without needing a single, static reporting structure to feel grounded
- See your manager as a thought partner, not just an escalation point - you bring them signal and patterns from your day-to-day work, and you actively seek out the broader context they hold so your execution stays aligned with what's happening at the leadership level
- Stay curious and open to growth — demonstrating a proactive embrace of AI, and actively building and applying fluency in emerging technologies to elevate how we work, drive faster outcomes, and expand collective impact.
