The Opportunity
Postman is the world's leading API platform and an AI-native developer companion that sits inside the daily workflow of more than 45 million developers and 500,000 organizations. The core product is where nearly all of them meet us: the request they send, the collection they share, the workspace their team lives in, the agent they hand work to. It is the most-used developer surface in the industry. In an AI-first world, almost every assumption behind it is up for renegotiation.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the Postman Product Team to build Postman's product experience.
What You'll Do
You will own product initiatives end-to-end, from build to driving adoption across all segments. You will be critical in owning the GTM launch, customer deployments, competitive benchmarking, and success of multiple products.
Specifically, you will:
- Build and prototype. We believe in prototypes over documents. You will build product prototypes, not just write documents. Use your technical skills to shorten the distance between an idea and evidence, and get functionality in front of users as early as possible.
- Live in the customer's workflow. Run on-site visits, customer deployments, and continuous feedback loops. Turn what you learn into clear feature sets, and into insight the rest of the company can act on.
- Win the market. Define what it takes to win the market, and continuously evaluate and remove complexity in the product experience, using data, customer insights, and hands-on experience.
- Own the launch, not just the release. Lead beta pitches for the first ~20 customers, then synthesize their feedback into tested, repeatable sales plays. Keep website pages, docs, and blog posts up to date, and partner with PMM on enablement.
- Answer for your product in public. Handle questions authoritatively in support channels, internal and external. Be the voice for the product.
- Close the loop. Aggressively feed what you learn in market back into the next build cycle.
About You
Must Have:
- 6+ years of product management experience, including a product used at scale by developers, with a proven track record across SMB, Mid-Market, and Enterprise.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- Real technical depth: 3+ years building software, or equivalent hands-on ability to read the code, open a PR, and build a functional prototype (React, Node.js, or similar).
- Fluency in API technologies and developer workflows (Postman, GitHub, CI/CD, API gateways) and in specification formats such as OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, GraphQL, and Protobuf (gRPC).
- Experience shipping AI-enabled developer tools, and a considered point of view on how to evaluate whether they are actually good.
- Excellent analytical instincts and comfort with product analytics.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences and articulate a product vision people can repeat back to you.
- Mission-oriented, comfortable with change and ambiguity, with an adept ability to ruthlessly prioritize, move fast, and test and iterate quickly.
The reasonably estimated salary for this role ranges from $200,000 to $230,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
