Senior Rust Systems Engineer – Embedded Proxy & Appliance

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Rust Systems Engineer – Embedded Proxy & Appliance based in India.

This is a senior systems engineering opportunity focused on building and owning embedded proxy software deployed across a large fleet of school-network appliances.
You’ll work close to the hardware and operating system, developing production-grade Rust for constrained environments and network-intensive workloads.
The role spans embedded Linux, networking, performance optimization, containerization, and cloud-based fleet management.
You’ll help evolve critical infrastructure that must remain reliable, secure, and performant across thousands of real-world deployments.
The position offers significant technical ownership, from low-level OS and networking components through the AWS control plane.
You’ll collaborate with engineers across product and infrastructure disciplines in a distributed, international environment.
