Senior Software Engineer, Storage

This role sits within a Transactional Storage Services organization responsible for critical online serving stores and databases at large scale.
You will help design, build, and operate a modern NewSQL database that serves as a source of truth for critical user, listing, and financial data.
The position offers opportunities to work deeply across storage engines, query execution, replication, consensus, change data capture, and distributed systems.
Depending on the team, you may focus on database kernel performance and reliability or on infrastructure that enables seamless workload migration and adoption.
You will investigate complex production issues, improve system performance and availability, and contribute to open-source database technology.
The role combines hands-on engineering, deep technical problem solving, operational ownership, and close collaboration with engineering and infrastructure teams.
You will have a direct impact on the reliability, scalability, and adoption of systems that support critical data workloads.
