Senior IT Systems & Security Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior IT Systems & Security Engineer based in the United States.

This is a senior technical role focused on designing, implementing, securing, and supporting complex IT environments across diverse customer organizations.
You will lead hands-on implementations spanning Microsoft and Google ecosystems, cloud identity, endpoint management, networking, and security infrastructure.
The role combines technical depth with customer-facing leadership, requiring you to assess unfamiliar environments and develop practical implementation strategies.
You will help organizations strengthen identity, endpoint, vulnerability, logging, backup, and access controls while supporting compliance-driven security requirements.
Working closely with customer IT teams, vendors, and internal specialists, you will troubleshoot complex issues and ensure solutions are thoroughly validated and documented.
The position also offers opportunities to mentor other engineers and turn successful implementations into repeatable standards, automation, and scalable practices.
This is a remote U.S.-based opportunity with approximately 10–25% travel and a strong focus on mission-critical, security-conscious technology environments.
