The Manager, Channel Business Development & Operations leads strategic planning, channel execution, demand management, and partner engagement initiatives across HP's commercial print distribution ecosystem. This role is responsible for driving business performance through effective forecasting, inventory planning, product lifecycle management, distributor collaboration, and cross-functional alignment. The manager serves as a key liaison between sales, supply chain, planning, product management, order management, and channel partners to ensure operational excellence and achievement of revenue and profitability objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Strategy & Channel Management
- Develop and execute channel business strategies that support revenue growth, market share expansion, and partner success.
- Lead strategic relationships with national distribution partners and key stakeholders.
- Analyze market trends, customer demand signals, inventory positions, and sales performance to identify risks and growth opportunities.
- Drive quarterly business reviews and performance discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Influence business decisions through data-driven recommendations and strategic insights.
Forecasting & Demand Planning
- Own demand planning processes across multiple product categories and distribution channels.
- Lead forecast management, commit reviews, allocation planning, and inventory optimization efforts.
- Partner with supply chain, planners, and sales teams to balance customer demand with available supply.
- Identify and mitigate supply risks while developing recovery plans for constrained products.
- Establish forecasting best practices and drive continuous process improvement initiatives.
Product Lifecycle & Portfolio Management
- Lead NPI (New Product Introduction) and EOL (End of Life) execution strategies across the channel ecosystem.
- Coordinate product transitions to minimize disruption and maximize revenue capture.
- Partner with Product Management and Supply Chain teams to ensure portfolio readiness and successful launches.
- Manage lifecycle communication plans and stakeholder alignment activities.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Provide leadership and direction across diverse functional organizations including Sales, Supply Chain, Planning, Order Management, Product Management, Finance, and Operations.
- Build alignment across teams to improve execution efficiency and business outcomes.
- Lead complex initiatives requiring coordination across multiple organizations and geographic regions.
- Establish governance processes and operational rhythms that improve visibility, accountability, and decision-making.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee business reporting, pipeline visibility, backlog management, allocation reviews, and supply-demand balancing processes.
- Identify operational gaps and implement scalable solutions that improve efficiency and customer experience.
- Drive automation and reporting enhancements to support faster and more informed decision-making.
- Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions when required.
Talent Leadership & Development
- Coach and develop team members through mentoring, career development planning, and skills enhancement.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
- Lead change management efforts during organizational and business transformations.
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of experience in Business Development, Demand Planning, Channel Management, Product Strategy, Supply Chain, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving business outcomes.
- Strong analytical, financial, and forecasting capabilities.
- Experience managing distributor, reseller, or channel partner relationships.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and executive engagement skills.
Preferred
- Experience in commercial print, technology, or channel sales environments.
- Product lifecycle management experience, including NPI and EOL transitions.
- Expertise in business intelligence, reporting automation, and operational analytics.

Salary
The pay range for this role is $93,400 to $143,800 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
