Key job responsibilities
You share Amazon’s mission to innovate in healthcare on behalf of customers. You will partner closely with business leadership, supporting the execution of strategies to address legal issues in creative, business-focused ways. You will help build processes that effectively manage risk while enabling the business to move quickly.

Successful candidates will have experience with U.S. healthcare compliance laws and regulations, including expertise in fraud and abuse laws, billing and overpayment rules, controlled substances regulations, patient safety requirements, state board regulations for pharmacy and medicine, and interactions with key government regulators.
Basic qualifications
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- 5+ years of post bar admission legal experience
- Knowledge of the ethical considerations surrounding AI in the legal context, such as confidentiality, accuracy, and bias prevention
- Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent
Preferred qualifications
- Can use AI for legal research, contract analysis, or document review experience
- Experience with U.S. healthcare compliance laws and regulations.
- Expertise in fraud and abuse laws.
- Experience with billing and overpayment rules.
- Experience with controlled substances regulations.
- Experience with patient safety requirements.
- Experience with state board regulations for pharmacy and medicine.
- Interactions with key government regulators.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
