Lead the strategy, transformation, and continuous evolution of the firm’s enterprise technology infrastructure, ensuring the delivery of secure, resilient, and scalable platforms that enable business growth and operational excellence. Direct and oversee a complex portfolio of infrastructure initiatives, including 24x7 data center operations, mobility solutions, WAN/MAN networks, trading floor technology, call center platforms, co-location environments, and campus and retail branch infrastructure.
Provide executive leadership for mission-critical service delivery, operational governance, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness, ensuring consistent achievement of service-level commitments and key performance objectives. Establish and drive performance metrics, KPIs, and SLAs that enhance reliability, efficiency, customer experience, and continuous improvement across the enterprise.
Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams of managed services professionals, infrastructure specialists, administrators, and strategic third-party partners. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration while defining, managing, and supporting the end-to-end operational infrastructure that underpins the firm’s technology ecosystem and long-term strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge with vendor management, data center operations, telecommunications, issuing Bid specifications and RFP evaluation. Working knowledge of network engineering, data center applications, client\ server computing, and production operations support.
Basic knowledge of the OSI and TCP/IP model, wireless, as well as outside plant with manholes, duct banks and Telco providers Aerial\Terrestrial pathways between buildings with regional geographies
Knowledge of and proven skills using various test sets including: power system multi-meters, cable test sets (Fluke DTX for copper and fiber), fiber test sets (Fluke OTDR fiber tester), cable testing and certification, network test sets (Fluke Network Analyzer)
Solid knowledge of Data Center Critical Infrastructure Systems, including Cooling (CRAC, Pumps, Dry Coolers), Power Distribution (Switchgear, UPS, PDU, RPP, DC Plant, ATS, Generators, Fuel Tanks) and Fire Detection and Suppression
Ability to right size Data Centers, LAN rooms; in relation to space, power, cooling and IT rack layouts from single to multi-story buildings.
Strong financial management skills in budgeting, forecasting and cost control
A deep understanding of the interdependent relationship between infrastructure and the applications/ services they enable as well as the critically of maintaining strong connections between the respective teams within IT
Ability to see the “big picture” across such areas as the private and public cloud hosted infrastructure and services. In addition to physical DC security, telecommunications, enterprise storage.
Functional understanding of project management principles and their application to infrastructure projects and teams
Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems and work with teams globally
Must have managerial skills to direct a team of 5 or more
Project Management & Construction Coordination
• Coordinate telecommunications requirements with project managers, architects, engineers, general contractors, electrical contractors, low-voltage contractors, and technology vendors.
• Participate in project kickoff meetings, design reviews, coordination meetings, and construction meetings.
• Provide technical direction during construction.
• Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, product data, and proposed substitutions.
• Evaluate field conditions and provide solutions to design and construction issues.
• Conduct construction site inspections to verify installation quality and compliance.
• Track project milestones and identify potential schedule, budget, and technical risks.
• Support project closeout activities, including documentation, testing results, labeling, and as-built drawings.
Estimating & Procurement
• Develop telecommunications construction budgets and cost estimates.
• Review contractor bids and proposals for scope compliance and pricing accuracy.
• Compare contractor proposals and identify scope gaps, exclusions, discrepancies, and potential change-order exposure.
• Assist with contractor selection and bid evaluations.
• Review material and equipment pricing for competitiveness.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising system performance, quality, or standards compliance.
• Assist with procurement of telecommunications equipment and materials
Depth & Scope:
- Expert knowledge of specific domain or range of engineering frameworks, technology, tools, processes and procedures, as well as organization issues
- Expert knowledge of TD applications, systems, networks, innovation, design activities, best practices, business/organization, Bank standards, and may fulfill a governance role
- Expert knowledge and experience in own discipline; integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities
- Acts as a key contributor in a complex and critical environment
- May provide leadership to teams or projects; shares expertise
- Applies in-depth skills and broad knowledge of the business to address complex problems and non-standard situations
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Graduate degree
- Strong academic background (e.g., computer science, engineering)
- 7 + years relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Leadership experience managing and or directing large IT operational teams preferred. Data Center certifications, would be highly desirable
- AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, knowledge of CFD programming, Bicsi- Registered Cable Distribution Designer (RCDD)
