AI in this role

Are you passionate about turning data into actionable insights? Amazon is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team, where you will play a key role in building reports, analyzing business performance, and helping drive informed decision-making. In this role, you will work with large datasets, develop financial models, and partner with cross-functional teams to uncover trends and recommend improvements. If you are a curious, detail-oriented self-starter who thrives on solving problems and making an impact through numbers, this is an exciting opportunity to grow your career at one of the world's most innovative companies.

Key job responsibilities
- Build and maintain financial and operational reports that inform business decisions, ensuring data accuracy and completeness by cross-checking against multiple sources.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses and develop financial models to surface trends, identify root causes behind performance variances, and present recommendations to business partners.
- Support weekly and monthly financial close processes, planning cycles, and forecasting activities while continuously improving reporting tools and workflows.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to collect inputs, validate assumptions, and ensure key decision data is accurate, automated, and timely.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes through automation and generative AI tools, create standard operating procedures, and support knowledge transfer within the team.

A day in the life
You will start your day reviewing dashboards and reports, checking for data discrepancies and investigating any anomalies. From there, you might build a new analysis to help a business partner understand cost drivers or prepare materials for an upcoming planning review. Expect to collaborate regularly with teammates and stakeholders across finance and operations, whether refining a financial model or brainstorming ways to automate a manual process. You will have access to mentors and learning opportunities that help you grow your analytical skills.

About the team

We value collaboration, continuous improvement, and a genuine curiosity about the business. We are focused on building scalable reporting and analytical capabilities, and you will have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to that mission from day one.
