The Opportunity 

PwC is a leading global practice in Tax, Assurance and Advisory, offering a wide range of professional services to major clients worldwide, and therefore opportunities for newcomers to our organization. 

Our Alternative Delivery Model team, based in Bucharest and Cluj, provides Accounting and Tax Compliance services to clients across the global PwC Network. 

We are currently looking for an experienced Financial Statements Accountant to join the fast-growing team in Cluj, working with the statutory financial statements of international clients.

In this role you would be working to support PwC firms in Western Europe with their Client Accounting services. 

 
What you will be doing 

• Support and preparation of GAAP to STAT conversions (end-to-end process) including preparation of statutory financial statements under local GAAP legislation, acting as an additional preparer within the SFS team. 

• Use Workiva as the primary reporting and financial statement preparation tool.  

• Provide accounting support for client engagements, including journal entries, month-end closing activities, financial reporting, VAT-related processes, and other accounting operations. 

• Perform ad hoc accounting analyses and account reconciliations  

• Manage administrative activities related to SFS projects, maintaining documentation and supporting project execution 

• Establish and maintain relationships with client management. 

• Continually learn and share knowledge with other team members. 

• Build relationships with colleagues across multiple service lines to provide seamless integrated service. 

• Manage performance and identify opportunities to improve our products and processes. 

What we need from you 

• You hold a University degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting. 

• You have strong accounting knowledge and more than 1 year of relevant work experience in accounting and tax compliance. 

• You have excellent computer knowledge plus the ability to work with special accounting ERPs. 

• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on execution. 

• You have strong English language skills. 

• You are eager to dive into new topics and to learn new skills. 

• You have advanced written and verbal communication skills. 

• You are highly adaptable and open to change. 

• Your location: Cluj.
