Head of New Media
Cerebras is hiring a Head of New Media for a remote role open to applicants in United States. Level rates it ; you can apply on Level.
AI in this role
Lead creative direction and video content production for an AI chip company, translating complex technology into engaging stories.
Cerebras Systems builds the world's largest AI chip, 56 times larger than GPUs. This architecture allows Cerebras to deliver industry-leading training and inference speeds; over 10 times faster than GPU-based hyperscale cloud inference services.
This order of magnitude increase in speed is transforming the user experience of AI applications, unlocking real-time iteration and increasing intelligence via additional agentic computation.
Cerebras works with the leading model labs, global enterprises, and cutting-edge AI-native startups. OpenAI recently announced a multi-year partnership with Cerebras, to deploy 750 megawatts of scale, transforming key workloads with ultra high-speed inference.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Head of New Media to shape how Cerebras tells its story through video, creative campaigns, and original series. You’ll set the creative direction and quality bar, build a content strategy that earns a lasting audience, and lead the team that brings it to life.
This is a hands-on creative leadership role. You should be as comfortable writing a script, directing a shoot, or editing a video as you are coaching a creator or planning the next two quarters. You’ll help turn complex technology into stories that are clear, accurate, and memorable, working closely with Developer Relations, Product, Brand, Communications, and executives.
What You’ll Own
Creative direction: Define the vision and quality bar for Cerebras New Media, with a distinctive point of view on how technology stories should look, sound, and feel.
Content production: Own technical videos, creative campaigns, commercials, launch films, and repeatable series from concept through delivery. Personally write, direct, produce, edit, or prototype when needed.
Technical storytelling: Partner with Developer Relations and technical experts to find strong stories, understand the substance, and translate complex product ideas into compelling content.
Content and channel strategy: Develop a roadmap around clear audiences, core messages, and business goals. Build formats and distribution approaches that strengthen each other over time.
Team leadership: Lead and develop New Media creators. Set clear expectations, give specific creative feedback, support growth, and hold the team accountable for quality and delivery.
Launch collaboration: Work with Product, Brand, Communications, and executives to deliver cohesive creative work for launches and company milestones.
Performance and experimentation: Define meaningful measures of success, learn from audience response, and use those insights to improve the work. Explore new formats and AI tools that help the team create better content faster.
Skills and Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in new media or digital content production.
An exceptional portfolio of video, commercial, editorial, or digital storytelling, with clear examples of your personal contributions to writing, directing, producing, and editing.
Experience leading a new media function at an established, recognized company.
Experience directly managing and developing creative contributors, including setting expectations, giving actionable feedback, and addressing performance gaps.
A track record of delivering technical product launches or campaigns in partnership with technical experts, product teams, and communications stakeholders.
Experience building a content and channel strategy with demonstrated results in audience growth, engagement, or product adoption.
Strong creative judgment and hands-on production and editing skills. You can explain what makes a piece of content work and give clear direction to improve it.
Curiosity about AI and technical subjects, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to learn from subject-matter experts.
A clear point of view on modern media, emerging formats, and how technology content can become more useful and engaging.
Preferred Experience
Experience using AI tools in creative development, prototyping, production, or editing, and helping a team adopt effective workflows.
