HW Validation Engineer , Amazon Leo Hardware Development

As a Hardware Engineer, you will work alongside senior Electrical Engineers supporting the design, debug, validation and optimization of LEO phased array antenna hardware. You will be involved from concept through production, gaining exposure to the complete design lifecycle. You will be a part of a highly skilled hardware team and will own or contribute to the following:
· Design automated test systems and test fixtures for lab and factory testing.
· Plan and execute hardware bring-up and design verification campaigns at the board and system levels.
· Collaborate with design engineers to define test requirements and acceptance criteria.
· Analyze test data, perform test failure root cause analysis, and generate comprehensive test reports with recommendations.
· Participate in schematic and layout design reviews.

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Basic qualifications

- 2+ years of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems experience
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering
- Master's degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering

Preferred qualifications

- Experience with hardware/software integration and real-time systems
- PhD in electrical engineering or computer engineering, or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of experience in using schematic
- 1+ years of experience with Mentor Graphics, Cadence, or other equivalent layout tools
- 1+ years of experience using lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multi-meters
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/network development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and certification

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
