Integration Engineer 4 (SAM)

We are seeking Integration Engineers who are passionate about marrying data with emerging technologies to join our team. As an Integration Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One. 

What You’ll Do: 

• Work with the team as we establish and automate our software reclamations using SAMPro and other tools to identify non use, communicate, revoke entitlements and remove software installs.
• Perform routine compliance reconciliations to establish precise Effective License Positions (ELPs) for assigned software vendors.
• Analyze entitlement data against active installations to identify compliance gaps, financial exposure, or over-licensing.
• Compile technical data, reports, and documentation needed to support lead SAMs during formal vendor software audits.

• Normalize, and match raw software discovery data from tools Jamf, SCCM, Intune, Aternity).
• Resolve data discrepancies between discovery feeds, procurement repositories, and user directories to maintain asset record integrity.
• Update and maintain accurate software catalog entries, publisher names, and stock-keeping units (SKUs) in the SAM repository.

Policy, Standard & Procedure Documentation

• Write, update, and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process maps, and operational guidelines for software management.
• Document end-to-end workflows for software request approvals, reclamation cycles, and license allocation.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 4 years of experience designing and maintaining cross-platform or cloud integrations
• At least 3 years of experience automating system configuration or data workflows

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of direct, operational experience performing software asset management, license reconciliation, or data normalization within a structured SAM team. 
• 5+ years of experience with ServiceNow
• 5+ years of experience working in a cloud-based environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• 3+ years of experience developing or supporting API-based integrations using scripting or orchestration tools (AWS Lambda, Step Functions, MuleSoft)
• 5+ years of experience with deployment tooling (Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory)
• 4+ years of experience in Agile practices
• Experience managing identity and access within systems
• 5+ years of experience implementing large-scale integration solutions or data pipelines in cloud environments
• Experience developing integration frameworks or reusable components used across multiple teams or applications
• Experience collaborating with enterprise architects to define integration reference architectures
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Splunk, Datadog) to ensure integration reliability and performance

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
