  • Define frontend and backend standards for APIs, security, performance, and automated testing.
  • Partner with product, architecture, security, and engineering teams to deliver modernization initiatives.
  • Oversee the reliability, maintenance, and continued development of applications and supporting services.

Your background:

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with C# and the Microsoft .NET ecosystem.
  • 2+ years of experience using AI-assisted software engineering tools, including Cursor and Claude, across software development workflows such as code generation, refactoring, testing, and code review.
  • Experience developing and modernizing applications using legacy ASP.NET and modern .NET or ASP.NET Core.
  • Hands-on experience developing React applications, including frontend architecture and API integration.
  • Experience designing REST APIs, service-based applications, and incremental enterprise application modernization.
  • Experience providing hands-on technical leadership through software design, coding, code reviews, and mentoring.
  • Experience with automated testing, continuous integration and delivery, source control, and application security practices.

Skills and AI tools this role asks for

Questions you could be asked

  1. How do you think about the risk of an AI system in this kind of role failing silently?
  2. Walk me through how you've used Claude in your day-to-day work.
  3. What are the limits of Cursor that you've run into, and how did you work around them?
  4. This role expects you to use AI tools as part of the job. Which ones have you used, and for what?
  5. Tell me about a time an AI tool got something wrong. How did you catch it?

Adapt your resume

  • List these exact terms on your resume: AI Safety, Claude, and Cursor. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
  • Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
  • Put the AI tool in a bullet point about what you did, not just in a skills list. This role treats it as a required part of the job.
