AI in this role
In this role, you will set the multi-year strategic direction for vendor-facing inbound services, own the portfolio's financial performance, and lead the program team that designs, launches, and operates these services with vendors and supply chain partners. You will partner across Retail, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Technology to translate vendor and network insights into program investments, and represent Amazon in senior-level joint business planning with Japan's largest vendors.
The right leader is both a strategist and an operator: comfortable authoring long-range strategy, equally comfortable diagnosing a stalled vendor pilot or unblocking an operational defect on the warehouse floor. You think in mechanisms, write clearly, hire well, and raise the bar on the team you inherit. Fluency in Japanese and English is required given the vendor-facing nature of the role.
At Amazon, you'll work alongside the latest AI and GenAI tools that are increasingly woven into how teams operate: from AI-powered capabilities that accelerate decision-making, to Generative AI that helps you focus on work that truly matters. You'll have opportunities and resources to develop AI fluency at your own pace, with continuous learning built into the culture.
