Mastercard Digital Labs is a global innovation practice that turns ideas into launched products. We deliver design sprints, prototype builds, product strategy and innovation culture programmes for issuers, acquirers, merchants and platforms, combining design thinking, agile delivery and Mastercard's product and network expertise.

Digital Labs supports customers and partners with innovation and R&D consultation, delivering customised programmes, products and support tailored to client specific business challenges. Our work spans the full commerce agenda, from consumer and SME propositions to card and cash flow products, super apps, loyalty and digital infrastructure, with a growing frontier in emerging technology including agentic commerce and regulated digital assets such as stablecoins.

Recent engagements give a sense of the range: differentiated SME card propositions launched with regional banks, multi engagement product transformations spanning B2B payments and SME super apps, agentic commerce platforms built with global device manufacturers, and regulated bank issued stablecoin models developed with market leading issuers.

The Role

This is a sprint leader and innovation role for Digital Labs in Asia Pacific. You will design and facilitate product and process engagements for clients and internal stakeholders, and own their delivery end to end.

The role demands a confident, experienced facilitator with real depth in three core disciplines: ideation methodologies, rapid prototyping and design sprints, and agile product management. You will be a lead advocate for innovation across Mastercard's customer base and one of the faces of Digital Labs externally in Asia Pacific and globally.

What you'll do:

• Own the execution and successful delivery of multiple customer engagements, including innovation consulting, innovation culture programmes and delivery of Mastercard innovation products.
• Lead groups through envisioning and ideation, product planning, issue resolution, action planning, assumptions testing, prototyping and requirements gathering.
• Facilitate client events using best practice design thinking, ideation, agile development and agile product management.
• Create new innovation tools, templates and methodologies, and codify existing best practice into standardised, repeatable approaches for rapid innovation.
• Lead small teams and large multi-disciplinary groups with varied skill sets and competing agendas to a shared product outcome.
• Contribute to new Digital Labs programs and products, and to the enhancement of existing methodologies.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies in payments and commerce, including agentic commerce and Agent Pay, stablecoins and digital assets, AI, and embedded finance, and identify prototype opportunities relevant to the client base.
• Develop Digital Labs' external relationships with other innovation entities, labs organisations, fintechs and universities.

Knowledge and experience preferred:

• Demonstrated experience in product innovation and consulting.
• Experience across the product development process, especially agile and design thinking methodologies.
• Highly skilled group facilitator, with a wealth of experience leading multi-disciplinary groups through strategic planning, journey mapping, issue resolution, brainstorming and requirements definition.
• High-energy, can-do attitude, strong sense of ownership and desire to succeed, with commensurate analytical and strategic skills.
• Executive level presentation skills, with persuasive presence and the ability to translate technology to businesspeople and business to technology people.
• Understanding of innovation frameworks plus practical, hands-on technology application experience.
• Working familiarity with the technologies reshaping commerce, including AI and agentic models, tokenisation, stablecoins and digital assets. You do not need to be an engineer, but you do need to be credible with engineers and with risk teams.
• Payment's technology knowledge or industry experience is a significant advantage.

Skills and abilities (desired):

• Strong AI Skills and examples of work and personal projects.
• Organised, with expert facilitation skills in environments where the agenda is not clear and the obvious solution is not the right one.
• Leadership skills, with the ability to influence others and navigate complex relationships without direct reporting lines.
• Values strong process as the route to consistent, high quality, repeatable results.
• Experience with prototyping and design tools, AI assisted build tools, or user testing methodologies is highly desirable.
• Ability to act effectively as a brand ambassador.
• Excellent verbal and written English. An additional language is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel.
• Work location: Singapore, with regional travel across Asia Pacific and occasional global travel.
