The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Manufacturing Assembler (Level B) to join our team in Layton, UT.
Performs simple production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and electrical systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations. Individuals will be responsible for identifying parts, tooling, and interpreting drawings.
Attention to detail and procedure compliance is critical to identify all necessary hand tools, parts, and equipment required to ensure defect-free work. Primary Responsibilities:
- Use a computer in a production environment.
- Look up/read/comprehend technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications.
- Wear appropriate protective clothing/equipment determined by the task you are performing.
- Use various hand tools such as screwdrivers, ratchets, power screwdriver multi meters, crimpers, torque tools.
- Inspect your work quality and check for Foreign Object Debris.
- Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other).
- Reading from a computer screen, printed drawings or documents.
- Ability to adhere to high standards of Safety and Compliance to regulation
- Carrying/Lifting up to 10-35 pounds
- Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), Handling, Kneeling, Bending at the waist, Reaching (overhead), Rotation of head/neck, Standing, Twisting at the waist and walking
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Interim pre-start and final post start.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 1+ years of experience in Manufacturing or assembly environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Current active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
- IPC 610 & 620 certification or related experience
- J-Std Module 1,2, & 3 certification or related experience
- Experience dealing with fiber optic cables

Summary pay range: $49,300 – $66,700
