Position Summary

Thales is looking for a Master Scheduler to create, implement, and manage short-term master schedules supporting dock-to-dock, in-house, and subcontractor flows for Aviation Global Services (AGS) in the Americas region. As part of Global Supply Chain, you will support scheduling updates and issue resolution while serving as an important link between operations and commercial functions across the organization. Your focus will be on translating demand forecasts into master schedules planned in monthly, weekly, and daily intervals, while preparing the necessary data to support Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP).

In this position you will build and maintain comprehensive master schedules while considering customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs), including turnaround times (TAT) and lead times, available capacity, drop-in requests, and other customer priorities to maximize throughput. You will collaborate closely with all supply chain functions, customer support, repair line management, and other support teams to maintain and develop the Master Schedule. You will also ensure effective line balancing across all functions, shifts, and days of the week to optimize throughput and maximize internal resource utilization.

You will be responsible for conducting line-by-line post-mortem reviews of agreed-upon schedules, performing in-depth root cause analyses to identify gaps in schedule adherence, and facilitating or implementing process improvements as needed. You will implement and lead daily cross-functional reviews, stand-up meetings, and Gemba walks to ensure successful execution and adherence to the Master Schedule. Additionally, you will serve as the central point of communication for all schedule-related matters within the Flow Team and represent Supply Chain at Flow and Lead Team meetings as required.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Publish and manage the Master Schedule for assigned areas of responsibility, utilizing industry scheduling best practices and specific scheduling tool properties and functions.
  • Lead daily meetings to ensure adherence to the published schedule, proactively identifying bottlenecks, implementing mitigation strategies, and resolving scheduling constraints.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental activities to evaluate the feasibility of operational plans against capacity and other constraints, taking corrective action as needed.
  • Extract raw data from ERP systems for data mining and analysis; develop, manage, and monitor KPIs and metrics to measure Master Schedule adherence and operational performance.
  • Proactively identify shipments at risk of missing delivery commitments, communicate potential delays, follow established escalation procedures, and assist with resolution.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities, measure effectiveness, and develop or enhance processes, work instructions, and procedures within areas of responsibility.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field required; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Exposure to logistics or operations environments required.
  • Strong understanding of project scope, technical requirements, schedules, and financials, with the ability to develop project plans, establish quality control goals, identify lessons learned, and drive assignments to successful completion.
  • Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, including consulting, negotiation, persuasion, influencing, constructive confrontation, and conflict resolution. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, across all organizational levels, including executive-level presentations, while fostering accountability and demonstrating servant leadership through empathy, foresight, and stewardship.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, critical-thinking, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities, with attention to detail, results orientation, decisiveness, and the ability to simplify complex challenges, leverage data, develop creative solutions, and implement performance improvements. High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and MS Teams.
  • Proven self-starter with a positive, entrepreneurial mindset, strong work ethic, integrity, personal accountability, emotional and professional maturity, reliability, motivation, and a commitment to excellence. Demonstrates a sense of urgency, determination, creativity, continuous learning, respect for others, and a willingness to challenge the status quo, innovate, exceed expectations, and contribute to shared organizational goals.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, disruptions, ambiguity, and change in a fast-paced, high-pressure, multinational and multicultural environment. Must demonstrate agility, flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to support an Aircraft on Ground (AOG) environment, including nontraditional office hours, on-call responsibilities, nights, weekends, and elevated stress levels.
