About the Role
Intel's CPU Circuit Technology team is seeking a highly motivated Memory Circuit Design Engineer to drive the design and development of advanced memory circuits for future CPU and SoC products.
In this role, you will develop full-custom and compiler-based SRAMs, caches, multi-ported register files, ROMs, custom memories, and associated digital circuits. You will partner closely with experts across architecture, design, process technology, physical design, and product engineering to create innovative memory solutions that enable industry-leading power, performance, area (PPA), and scalability on advanced CMOS process technologies.
This position offers the opportunity to influence memory architecture decisions, drive circuit innovation, and contribute to technologies that are foundational to Intel's future computing platforms. The scope and complexity of responsibilities will align with the successful candidate's experience and technical capabilities.
What You’ll Do
This will be a fast-paced dynamic environment where you will work in the high performance, low power CPU design team on a wide spectrum of circuit activities including, but may not be limited to:
- Design, characterize, and simulate advanced memory circuits.
- Contribute to cache design, critical-path analysis, and custom circuit development.
- Perform memory path-finding and evaluate design trade-offs to optimize power, performance, and area.
- Develop and analyze memory bit cells, peripheral circuitry, and associated automation.
- Contribute to memory array and IP design and memory circuit innovation.
- Evaluate circuit behavior across process, voltage, temperature, and design variations.
- Collaborate with architecture, design, process technology, physical design, and product engineering teams.
- Contribute to design methodologies, automation, technical readiness, and project execution.
- Identify technical challenges, investigate alternatives, and help develop scalable solutions for future CPU and SoC products.

Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Educational experience listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a STEM-related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master's degree in the same filed with 3+ years of experience; or PhD in the same fields with 1+ years of educational work experience.
Your educational or experience described above must be in the following:
- CMOS circuit design, memory design, circuit trade-offs for power, performance, and area.
- Experience in Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) circuits and design methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in low-power implementation techniques.
- Familiarity with circuit and layout trade-offs for optimized design.
- Knowledge of industry standard digital circuit design tools, flows and methodologies, dynamic simulations, variation analysis, and signal integrity analysis.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $141,910.00-269,100.00 USD
