Principal - Business Process Optimization

The Opportunity

Adobe’s Business Process Optimization team is looking for a Principal Program Manager to act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders throughout Corporate Accounting and Operations.

This position emphasizes cultivating positive relationships, setting priorities, and directing where BPO can generate the highest business value. You’ll assist collaborators in pinpointing the right problems to tackle, challenge assumptions, bridge opportunities across teams, and transform strategic priorities into influential programs.

You’ll also manage a specific set of complex, cross-functional efforts covering process transformation, automation, systems, data, and AI. Acting with substantial independence and guiding outcomes without official power.

What you'll Do

• Develop strong connections with senior leaders and act as a strategic thought partner.
• Help collaborators identify and prioritize the highest-value opportunities.
• Challenge requests and assumptions to clarify the underlying problem and desired outcome.
• Influence decisions by framing options, tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations.
• Lead complex, cross-functional programs from strategy through execution.
• Connect priorities and opportunities across teams to encourage broader, scalable solutions.
• Partner with Program Management, Development, and technical teams to translate business needs into balanced solutions.
• Drive measurable business outcomes, not just project completion.
• Provide leadership through influence, expertise, and mentoring without formal people-management responsibility.

What you need to succeed

• Extensive experience managing complex enterprise programs, business transformation, operations, or process optimization, with a demonstrated ability to influence senior collaborators and operate with significant independence.
• Demonstrated skill in establishing trust and positive connections with senior leaders.
• Strong business judgment and ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, complex environments.
• Established skill in guiding priorities and decisions in the absence of direct control.
• Experience leading large, cross-functional initiatives across business and technology teams.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics and drive alignment.
• Experience with portfolio management, prioritization, governance, and program delivery.
• Understanding of automation, data, AI, and current methods for process optimization.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, operations, program management, technology, or a related field.
