Amazon's India Operations' Capex Procurement team is hiring for a Procurement Manager for Capex Categories with Pan-India responsibilities, especially for their Quick Commerce footprint. The Procurement Manager, will individually contribute and manage multiple categories/ subcategories and projects of complexity, Operate with significant autonomy and discretion, Influence other internal teams. In this role the person will define and own the vendor capabilities, procurement strategies and innovation roadmap for the category and team. The person will work closely with design engineering team and explore vendors in categories like General Contractors, Cold room and Shelving categories for Qucik commerce. The person will lead in creating the industry benchmark in procurement processes and work side-by-side with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the best for the end customer. experience.

Key job responsibilities
1. Owns the procurement spend for the assigned category of material & supply through vendor performance evaluation, RFP process, negotiation and contract management for all the procurement requirement of the assigned category.
2. Develop supplier compliance, Sourcing and Procurement strategy, Industry bench marking & trend, potential mitigation action plan for the assigned category.
3. Work with autonomy with cross-functional teams to implement the strategies and effectively communicate throughout the procurement cycle.
4. Drive various cost reduction projects through innovation.
4. Set high bar for vendors in quality, compliance and safety practices. Evaluate and take actions on vendors' performance.
5. Negotiate commercials, contract terms and implementation plan with suppliers. Ensures compliance documents and signing of contracts with suppliers by collaborating with legal, business, operations and vendors.
6. Drive the Vendor Engagement initiatives like Safety Compliance, Social Responsibility Audits, Ecowadis and Sustainability goals for GPO etc, through engaging the stakeholders, peers and vendors. Owns the implementation of these initiative for the entire GPO-IN. Publish milestones, MIS and success criteria.

About the team
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business/engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related field preferred.
• 7-9 years of experience with focus on Procurement, supply chain, strategic sourcing, operational planning, or supplier management.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced Degree
• 7+ years of experience with focus on supply chain, strategic sourcing, operational planning, or supplier management.
• Prior experience in procurement of capex in Quick Commerce.
• Ability to proactively manage supplier relationships to drive value for our customers
• Ability to exercise judgment in evaluation of suppliers, supplier performance, and ensure that project goals, schedules and performance requirements are achieved
• Exceptional skill in negotiation, contract development, and program management
• Strategic, long term critical thinking and planning
• Financial analysis and value / TCO analysis
• Bias for action and urgency
• Customer obsession and clear concise communications skills
• Must have a positive, collaborative attitude
• Likes to challenge convention and strive for innovation
• Excellent verbal skills and above average written communication skills
• Strong PC skills including Windows and Excel
