Bitwarden is hiring a Product Designer to focus on autofill within our End User Experience team. Autofill is one of the most common ways people use Bitwarden, whether they are individuals, families, or employees at a business. You will design how Bitwarden fills logins, passkeys, cards, and identities across browsers, desktop, and mobile, and how it prompts users to save and update their credentials. You will work with product managers, engineers, and other designers, and you will use AI tools as a regular part of your process. We want someone who understands cybersecurity and wants to make security products easier to use.
This is a remote role. Candidates must be based in the U.S., and we prefer time zones that overlap with the U.S. East Coast. Please include a link to your portfolio when you apply.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design autofill experiences for individual, Premium, Families, and Business users across the browser extension, desktop app, and iOS and Android apps
- Improve how users fill logins, passkeys, verification codes, payment cards, and identity information on websites and in apps
- Design the prompts that ask users to save a new login or update a changed password
- Design for difficult cases, such as multi-step logins, unusual login forms, and sites where autofill does not work as expected
- Work within iOS and Android autofill frameworks and browser limitations so autofill behaves consistently on every platform
- Help users understand when Bitwarden will and will not autofill, and why, so they can avoid phishing sites
- Create user flows, prototypes, and production-ready designs using the Bitwarden design system
- Use AI design tools to facilitate and scale research, ideation, rapid prototyping, and iteration
- Collaborate with our product teams to explore emerging product concepts, including agentic workflows
- Help run user interviews and usability tests, and review user feedback and support trends to improve autofill
- Present work in design critiques and to product and engineering partners

Skills and AI tools this role asks for
Questions you could be asked
- How do you decide when an AI agent can act on its own versus asking for approval first?
- Tell me about a project where product design was part of your work. What did you do?
- Tell me about a project where ux design was part of your work. What did you do?
- Tell me about a project where prototyping was part of your work. What did you do?
- Tell me about a project where user research was part of your work. What did you do?
Adapt your resume
- List these exact terms on your resume: AI agents, Product Design, UX Design, Prototyping, and User Research. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
- Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them — a tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
- Show where AI is part of your daily process, not a one-off project — this role expects it to be a running habit.
