The Project Controls Engineer is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting of project data. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the integrity of cost, schedule, and progress information, and supports various project functions with data analysis and reporting.
Assignment duration: Until the end of 2026, with the possibility of extension.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports, closeout, demobilization, and preservation reports.
- Collect, organize, and maintain data across contracts, including cost, schedule, and progress information.
- Update cost and schedule trackers, and prepare S-curves, charts, and presentation materials.
- Support reconciliation of SAP, Oracle Unifier, and Primavera P6 records, and manage reporting calendars.
- Perform variance analysis and provide commentary on changes.
- Assist with schedule and cost substantiation records for claims and disputes.
- Complete ad-hoc analysis and reporting as requested by the Project Controls Manager.
- Apply document control and data quality standards to all work products.
- Follow up with project teams and stakeholders for inputs and evidence.
- Ensure confidentiality and data integrity throughout the process.
- Minimum 5 years of project controls experience, preferably on construction or major capital projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills are mandatory.
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6, SAP, and Oracle Unifier is preferred.
- Experience with Power BI and Aconex, SharePoint, and OneDrive is an asset.
- Practical experience in cost, schedule, and data analysis reporting is essential.
- PMP or a comparable credential is desirable.
- Owner, IPMT, PMC, consultant, or contractor experience is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to report to executives.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
