What Is The Role
Elastic, the Search AI company, is looking for a Security Sales Executive to join our team, where you'll focus on connecting our security solutions with existing customers and products. In this overlay specialist role, you'll be part of a collaborative effort to enhance how security operations teams defend against threats and respond to incidents, leveraging the power of AI. This role requires travel (~2x per month)
What You Will Be Doing
- Understand client needs to align security solutions effectively. Facilitate regular check-ins and updates with key stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and ensure satisfaction.
- Identify and target potential clients within the cybersecurity sector. Qualify leads through outreach and needs assessments to ensure a good fit. Develop engaging presentations and demos that effectively showcase our security solutions.
- Conduct regular training sessions to educate Account Executives on product features and benefits. Support them in creating customized sales strategies tailored to client needs. Share insights on industry trends and competitor activities to refine and enhance their sales approaches.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to enhance the sales cycle for cyber opportunities. Monitor and analyze sales performance data to pinpoint areas for improvement. Manage proofs of concept to ensure successful outcomes and drive sales growth.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, cybersecurity, or a related field
- 4+ years in sales within the cybersecurity industry
- 5+ years with client relationship management
- Experience with AI integration in cybersecurity solutions
- Proficiency in cybersecurity sales tools and CRM software
- Ability to create and deliver engaging product presentations
- Able to perform needs assessments in a cybersecurity context
- Knowledge of security operations and incident response processes
- Knowledge of industry trends and competitor analysis in cybersecurity
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in cybersecurity
- Demonstrated success in developing long-term client relationships

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary plus a variable component, that together comprise the On-Target Earnings (OTE). On-Target Earnings (OTE) are based on a 60/40 pay mix (base salary / target variable).
The typical starting OTE range for new hires in this role is listed below. This range represents the lowest to highest OTE we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
An employee's position within the OTE range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program. Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.
