Job Overview
Here’s your chance to step into the role of Senior Executive – Accounts Payable (I2P Reconciliation) at Dubai Holding Group Services. In this position, you’ll be responsible for Accounts Payable reporting and reconciliation activities across Group Services, covering diverse industries. You will support continuous improvement and process optimisation within the Group Services Finance function while leading your team to foster customer centricity and service excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Guide internal teams to ensure adherence to established processes, guidelines and protocols for supplier query resolution, Accounts Payable reporting and reconciliation, in line with agreed service-level standards.
- Track relevant key performance indicators, identify operational gaps and guide the team in achieving its goals.
- Support the review of Accounts Payable activities and the implementation of improvements to existing process workflows.
- Act as the first point of contact for relevant finance stakeholders, resolving issues and escalating challenges as required.
- Support the execution of special projects and initiatives that deliver continuous value to Group Services Finance.
- Provide input into the Invoice-to-Pay budget and ensure adherence to approved budgets within the sub-function.
- Review financial posting and reporting activities to ensure alignment with applicable IFRS standards and guidelines.
- Review and finalise management reports covering Invoice-to-Pay activities.
- Publish reports on Invoice-to-Pay metrics and processes, identifying gaps and recommending mitigation measures.
- Monitor Accounts Payable ageing reports and highlight areas of concern and the related mitigation actions.
- Manage vendor payment challenges and support the management of escalations as required.
- Collaborate with Group Services Procurement stakeholders on vendor data management within invoicing systems.
- Manage vendor catalogues and invoices on Dubai Holding systems.
- Monitor vendor statement reconciliations, analyse expenses and highlight mismatches requiring correction.
- Perform Invoice-to-Pay reconciliation and accounting period-end activities, including petty cash reconciliations.
- Review internal controls and monitoring reports to ensure compliance with Dubai Holding policies and external regulations.
- Monitor adherence to risk assessment frameworks and identify relevant controls to address vulnerabilities.
- Support the development and implementation of anti-fraud policies and procedures.
- Review investigations into suspected fraudulent activities and identify concerns and mitigation measures.
- Identify cost-reduction and efficiency-improvement opportunities within existing processes.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement, monitor and evaluate process improvements.
- Manage the team, provide day-to-day supervision and support direct reports in achieving their operational objectives.
- Monitor team development initiatives and foster a customer-centric, innovative and high-performance culture.
About you
The preferred candidate for this role should possess the following experience and credentials:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Business Administration with a specialisation in Finance.
- Additional qualifications such as ACCA, MBA Finance, CIMA or ACA are preferable.
- A minimum of four to six years of experience in a finance function, including at least two years of experience leading teams.
- Strong understanding of Invoice-to-Pay processes, including Accounts Payable accounting principles and practices.
- Strong understanding of invoice management and Accounts Payable reconciliation activities.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and related technologies is preferable, particularly Oracle Fusion.
- Experience working within a finance shared-services environment is preferred.
- Experience working in the Middle East region is preferred.
- Financial accounting, reporting and compliance knowledge.
- Invoice-processing and Accounts Payable reconciliation capabilities.
- Vendor-management skills.
- Strong customer focus and team-leadership capabilities.
- An innovative and intrapreneurial mindset, with a focus on talent and employee centricity.
