We are actively seeking an ambitious professional to join our Commercial Banking team at ADCB to work alongside passionate colleagues who share your ambition to redefine excellence in UAE banking.

In this role, your key responsibilities include

Strategy and Plans

In conjunction with, and as required by the Chief Officer of the Group, contribute to the formulation, implementation and delivery of the Group’s strategy in line with the ADCB’s vision, mission, values and priorities

Translate the strategy into operational business plans for the short, medium and long term within the department(s) and ensure that performance is monitored, reported and delivered and necessary actions are taken to achieve the strategy and plans

Direct, develop and implement ADCB’s FI Sales and structured credit solutions strategy and framework in order to maximise profitability whilst effectively managing risk exposures.

Structured Derivatives and Credit Products Structuring

To lead ADCB’s structured credit products, engaging support and input from the Bank’s support and delivery channels in order for the Bank’s products and solutions remain client-focused and market competitive

Origination and Sale of Products   

Lead and direct ADCB’s FI Sales business and structured credit solutions activity and capabilities, including pricing and structuring of transactions, risk and investment return analysis and overseeing interactions with other desks and departments in order to maximise the performance and profitability of the Bank

Origination and execution of trades and transactions in accordance with ADCB’s standard operating procedures and risk appetite in order to drive profitability

Market Intelligence

Oversee ongoing market evaluation, due diligence and risk monitoring of the prospective and live trades to ensure all aspects of risk are appropriately considered and to implement appropriate hedging strategies

Leadership

Manage employees and teams by overseeing their performance management, recruitment, learning and development to ensure high levels of engagement, and competence, a motivated work environment and to maximise employee contribution to business performance

Change Management

Drive the management of change in the business area through direct reports and teams by providing inputs for, and partaking in change initiatives, programmes and projects taking into account best practice and standards in the business environment

Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures

Develop and oversee the creation and implementation of the required policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of the business area’s activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements and standards are fulfilled while ensuring that ADCB delivers best-in-class services, products and innovation whilst safeguarding the Bank

Develop, implement and continuously review standard operating procedures (SOPs) and practices for FI Sales business and structured credit solutions to ensure compliance with both internal policy and external regulatory requirements

Customer Service

Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the Bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions

The ideal candidate should have the following experience

At least 10 years of experience in progressively more complex and responsible roles in FI Sales, structured derivatives and credit solutions

Bachelor’s degree in relevant Field

Presentation and persuasive selling skills in FX derivatives, Interest Rate derivatives, commodity derivatives and Credit Solutions to clients across sub-segment

Knowledge of risk categories, credit, market, business, liquidity, operational and settlement

High level of economic and market awareness
