About the role

We're hiring a Senior Manager, Collaboration Platform Engineering to lead Nscale's collaboration and productivity platform capability as the company scales globally.

You'll shape how Nscale uses Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, Notion and approved AI productivity tools. This role goes beyond administration: you'll own platform strategy, automation, governance and adoption, helping teams communicate, share knowledge and get work done.

You'll lead a team building secure, scalable and AI-enabled collaboration platforms, partnering with business teams to turn their ways of working into practical platform improvements.

What you'll be doing

Collaboration Platform Strategy

  • Define and deliver the roadmap for Nscale's collaboration and productivity platforms.
  • Maximise business value from Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, Notion and related tools.
  • Establish standards for collaboration, knowledge management, workflow automation and information governance.
  • Rationalise overlapping tools to reduce complexity, cost and duplication.
  • Partner with business teams to understand how they work and drive adoption of approved platforms.

Platform Engineering and Operations

  • Own the engineering, configuration and lifecycle of collaboration platforms.
  • Keep platforms secure, reliable, scalable and integrated with identity, endpoint, security and service-management processes.
  • Govern admin access, platform configuration, integrations, exceptions and significant changes.
  • Manage platform health, performance, licensing, adoption and operational metrics.
  • Provide escalation support for complex platform issues.

Automation and Workflow Enablement

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual business and Technology Operations processes.
  • Build and govern automations using platform-native capabilities, APIs, scripts and workflow tooling.
  • Improve joiner, mover, leaver, approval, request, reporting and collaboration workflows.
  • Use platform data to improve reporting, service delivery, adoption and operational decision-making.
  • Reduce manual work through practical automation without introducing unnecessary complexity.

AI Productivity and Enablement

  • Drive adoption and value from approved AI productivity tools, including Gemini and other enterprise AI assistants where appropriate.
  • Partner with Security, Legal and business teams to define safe, practical AI usage in collaboration, knowledge management and workflow automation.
  • Identify use cases that reduce manual work, improve reporting, accelerate knowledge discovery or improve employee productivity.
  • Support governance, licensing, access, training and measurement of AI productivity tools.
  • Embed AI capabilities into practical workflows rather than treating them as standalone tools.

Security, Governance and Compliance

  • Work with Information Security to implement platform security, access, logging and data-protection controls.
  • Support audit evidence collection for SOC 2, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus and SOX.
  • Manage risks associated with external sharing, data retention, admin access and third-party integrations.
  • Ensure platform changes follow agreed change-management and security-review processes.
  • Maintain clear documentation of standards, ownership and operating procedures.

About You

Required Experience and Skills

  • Significant experience leading collaboration, productivity, SaaS or enterprise platform engineering teams.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, Notion or similar enterprise collaboration platforms.
  • Experience defining platform strategy, governance, standards and operating models.
  • Experience delivering platform improvements that create measurable business value.
  • Strong understanding of automation, workflow design, APIs, integrations and platform-native automation.
  • Experience managing security and compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder-management and communication skills.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience supporting a fast-growing international technology, cloud, infrastructure or AI organisation.
  • Experience with Google Workspace transformation, adoption or migration programmes.
  • Experience with Jira Service Management, Confluence, Slack workflows, Google Apps Script or low-code automation.
  • Experience introducing or governing enterprise AI productivity tools such as Gemini, Claude and ChatGPT.
  • Familiarity with Okta, JumpCloud, Entra ID or other identity platforms.
  • Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus or SOX requirements.

Skills and AI tools this role asks for

ChatGPTClaudeGemini

Questions you could be asked

  1. What's a project where you used ChatGPT hands-on?
  2. Walk me through how you've used Claude in your day-to-day work.
  3. What are the limits of Gemini that you've run into, and how did you work around them?
  4. This role expects you to use AI tools as part of the job. Which ones have you used, and for what?
  5. Tell me about a time an AI tool got something wrong. How did you catch it?

Adapt your resume

  • List these exact terms on your resume: ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
  • Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them — a tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
  • Put the AI tool in a bullet point about what you did, not just in a skills list — this role treats it as a required part of the job.
