Role
We are looking for a Manager, Rapid Response & Communications Operations to join our team. This is a hybrid or remote role, reporting to the Director, Public Relations in the Marketing & Communications department. Sitting at the strategic intersection of rapid response, internal communications, and comms operations, you will drive Zscaler's real-time narrative during breaking news while building the analytical frameworks needed to connect communications outcomes to business impact and pipeline.
What you’ll do (Role Expectations)
- Monitor industry breaking news, emerging threats, and competitive developments in real time to rapidly develop and syndicate company perspective
- Build and maintain a rapid-response playbook, executive quote bank, and streamlined approval workflows with SMEs, executives, and agency partners
- Pitch reactive commentary, bylines, statements, and social content to key press covering breaking industry events
- Track and analyze share of voice (SOV) against competitors and industry benchmarks using comms analytics tools
- Own the cadence, content, and executive presentations for quarterly business reviews (QBRs), connecting PR program effectiveness directly to pipeline and revenue impact

- You are resilient and adaptable. You maintain composure under pressure during breaking news events and exercise sound judgment on what is newsworthy.
What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance daily workflows and augment problem-solving
- 5+ years of experience in PR, communications, or comms operations, ideally in B2B tech or cybersecurity
- Proven track record of developing, securing approval for, and pitching reactive content within hours of breaking news
- Demonstrated experience using SOV platforms and comms analytics tools to evaluate media effectiveness
- Strong analytical skills with experience building business cases, tracking pipeline impact, and presenting QBRs to executive leadership
- High-integrity judgment and strong multi-format writing skills across statements, bylines, and internal communications under high-pressure scenarios
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Demonstrate a proven ability to leverage AI technologies and workflows to drive measurable operational efficiency
- Direct experience in cybersecurity or another fast-moving, threat-driven industry
- Familiarity with pipeline and revenue attribution models for marketing and corporate communications
- Prior experience building, scaling, or modernizing a comms measurement program from scratch

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
