Job purpose:

To lead and be fully accountable for Treasury & Global Markets activities in Egypt, including Sales, Trading and Asset & Liability Management, ensuring delivery of revenue, balance sheet optimization and risk management in line with Group strategy.

The role is responsible for executing the Group Treasury & Global Markets strategy within Egypt, operating under the oversight of UAE Group Head Office and relevant Global functional heads. The role ensures all activities are conducted in compliance with Central Bank of Egypt regulations, while adhering to Group governance, risk appetite and strategic direction.

Key Result Areas:

• Own TGM P&L and performance across Sales, Trading and ALM in Egypt.
• Execute local client coverage and revenue generation strategy aligned with Global Sales.
• Oversee trading activities within limits defined by Global Trading.
• Manage local balance sheet, liquidity and funding in coordination with Global ALM.
• Ensure compliance with all Central Bank of Egypt regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strong governance, control environment and adherence to Group policies.
• Develop local client franchise and market positioning.
• Lead and manage local TGM teams with clear accountability.

• Represent TGM Egypt in local executive and regulatory forums.

  Operating Environment, Framework and Boundaries, Working Relationships : Operates within the Central Bank of Egypt regulatory framework, while maintaining alignment with UAE Group Head Office governance and global functional oversight across Sales, Trading and ALM. The role operates within an arm’s length governance model, whereby local execution is performed within limits, strategies and policies defined by Global functions. Works closely with Global Heads, Country CEO, Risk, Compliance and Finance.

  Problem Solving :

• Balancing local market opportunities with Group risk appetite and regulatory constraints.
• Managing liquidity, funding and market risks within defined frameworks.
• Aligning local execution with global strategy under market and regulatory limitations.

 Decision Making Authority & Responsibility:

Authority over local execution of TGM activities within approved frameworks.

Responsibility for local revenue delivery and performance.

Authority to manage local client relationships and business development.

Escalation of material risks, limit breaches or regulatory matters to Group.

Implementation of Group strategies and governance frameworks locally.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

12–15+ years in Treasury & Global Markets.

Strong knowledge of local market and regulatory environment.

Experience managing multi-product TGM functions.

Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
