Job Description

Help shape the software behind Philips image-guided therapy systems. Design, build, test and improve software used in X-ray imaging platforms for cardiac and vascular diagnosis and intervention. You will work on display software within the Imaging Chain Cluster and help keep complex, long-lived products reliable, maintainable and ready for future innovation.

Your role

  • Design, implement and test software for the imaging chain of Philips X-ray systems, with a focus on display software for the Azurion platform.
  • Translate system and subsystem needs into robust software designs, define interfaces and maintain clear technical documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Develop and modernize at least C++ 11, C#, and working with legacy code on Windows, model-based design and automatic code generation.
  • Work at the intersection of software and hardware, applying engineering practices that support quality, maintainability and compliance in a regulated medical-device environment.
  • Collaborate in an Agile Release Train with software, system, hardware and quality stakeholders in the Netherlands and internationally.
  • Use continuous-improvement practices, pair programming and AI-assisted development to strengthen delivery, engineering effectiveness and product quality.

You're the right fit if

  • You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or an equivalent field, and bring around five years of relevant software-development experience.
  • You have strong hands-on experience with C++ and C, including legacy software, and are comfortable developing for Windows environments.
  • You have experience with model-based design and automatic code generation, software-to-hardware interaction in complex systems, and TDD and BDD.
  • You have experience working in a regulated industry and bring a can-do, continuous-improvement mindset, with the ability to collaborate through pair programming and use AI-assisted software development.

Nice to have: experience in healthcare or MedTech.

Adapt your resume

  • List these exact terms on your resume: Software Design, Image Processing, Agile, Tdd, and Bdd. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
  • Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them — a tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
  • Put the AI tool in a bullet point about what you did, not just in a skills list — this role treats it as a required part of the job.
