AI in this role
Solutions Architects work hand in hand with AWS customers to help them make the most of the Cloud. They own the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS and make recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency. They work to understand the customer's business needs and give prescriptive guidance on how to create business value with technology. To do this they collaborate with other teams such as account management, professional services, support, product teams and the AWS partner ecosystem.
AI is transforming Advertising, Publishing and Information Services. Publishers are rethinking how content is created, personalised and licensed. Advertisers and ad tech companies are reshaping targeting, measurement and creative production in a privacy-first world. Information services providers are turning large proprietary datasets into intelligent products. In this role you will get to practice your creativity, linking technology to tangible solutions and educating customers about the art of the possible. You will work closely with Account Managers to help customers achieve their outcomes using AWS technology.
We're looking for someone passionate and self-driven, who is curious about how technology shapes media and information, and who enjoys taking ownership of customer outcomes with limited guidance.
The Solutions Architecture team is a diverse group of technologists from a variety of backgrounds. Practical knowledge of the AWS platform is desired but not required, provided you have a sound technical foundation and a desire to learn.
Key job responsibilities
• Own the technical relationship with your customers and operate as their trusted advisor. The best interests of the customer will shape the guidance you provide
• Work backwards from customer needs to define the right solution path, then design and deliver secure, scalable and cost-effective solutions using AWS services, with a focus on generative AI, machine learning and data analytics
• Run technical discussions, architecture design sessions and workshops across use cases such as content creation and management, audience and data platforms, ad tech, clean rooms and measurement, content discovery and personalisation, and data and knowledge products
• Help customers move AI/ML workloads from experimentation into production, making sound trade-offs between time, quality and cost
• Contribute to account plans and customer engagement strategies alongside your Account Manager, and collaborate with specialist, partner and service teams to meet customer goals
• Identify risks early in customer engagements and decide when to resolve them yourself and when to escalate
• Write clear technical documentation and create content, demos and reference architectures for Advertising, Publishing and Information Services use cases
• Capture and share customer feedback with AWS service teams to help shape future services and features
• Share knowledge with your team, take part in peer reviews and support newer team members
