Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Product Manager — Technical in Alexa Smart Properties, you will own and drive the product vision and execution for our enterprise staff personas to make it easy for staff to manage their content, get real time insights, and engage with their end customers. You will own our enterprise console and integrations with third party systems. You will manage how staff manage content in our enterprise console including menus, events, promotions, alerts, and contacts. You will create features to deliver staff real time insights - through intelligent real time events to analytics. You will also build out capabilities to track tickets, orders, and other tasks directly in our enterprise console.

With Alexa Smart Properties, you can also manage your content and end customer engagement using a third party system such as a property management system or resident engagement system. You will manage the roadmap of integrations we develop as well as improvements to accelerate integration speed and scale.

Across both pillars, you will use all means possible — including AI capabilities — to accelerate development cycles, enable faster learning, make better decisions, and unlock new forms of innovation. You will leverage GenAI to rapidly generate prototypes, specifications, and documentation to validate customer value propositions faster. You will deeply understand your product’s business context — market dynamics, competitive landscape, pricing strategy, and profitability drivers — and articulate how product decisions impact business outcomes.

You will define vision (PR/FAQ), problem statements, tenets, and strategy while owning roadmap and priorities. You will influence without authority, building alignment across teams with different priorities — engineering, science, design, finance, marketing, sales, legal, and operations. You will establish key performance indicators, drive feature adoption, and measure the health of your product and business, distinguishing between output metrics such as adoption and outcome metrics such as customer satisfaction and business impact. You will create buy-in for your vision across the Alexa organization and with external partners, and conduct or commission customer research, usability studies, and competitive analysis to identify best-of-breed benchmarks and understand market opportunities.

A day in the life
As a Sr. PMT in Alexa Smart Properties, rarely are two days the same. You are a business owner, the voice of the customer, and the point person for partner teams across communication and device management experiences.

On a daily basis, you will be working with enterprise customers to understand the needs of the staff persona - including needs to manage content, engagement with end customers, and get real-time insights. Your day could consist of writing PRFAQs and BRDs, building a prioritized roadmap, sprint planning/bug bashing, iterating on product decisions with Engineering teams, evaluating how GenAI and agentic systems can accelerate your roadmap, working with partners in business development, solution architects, legal, privacy, documentation, and more. You will think big to envision what’s next for enterprise communications, and exhibit “Learn and Be Curious” for different technologies — including emerging AI capabilities.

You will make informed trade-offs, build your own mockups and prototypes, define acceptance criteria, and participate in testing and validation. You’ll evaluate technical proposals for strengths and weaknesses — including extensibility, performance, and scalability — asking the right questions to identify risks before commitments are made. You’ll assess how AI capabilities can reshape product architectures, when autonomous agent patterns enhance versus complicate product design, and how to leverage GenAI to accelerate insight generation while applying critical judgment. You will use AI on a daily basis to increase your velocity and scale your impact.

You will meet with customers to understand our core strengths and weaknesses, synthesize feedback with business and service data, and drive decisions using sophisticated judgment when data is incomplete. People will look to you to solve problems, connect them with specialists, and hold the tension between business outcomes and customer value honestly.

Basic qualifications

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred qualifications

- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
