Applications will be accepted until 12/14/2026.The Experience
The Digital Enterprise Technology (DET) Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) team drives how Salesforce scales through aligned investment decisions, trusted portfolio data, and an integrated tooling ecosystem. We're transforming from fragmented portfolio management practices to a unified, data-driven operating model — building the systems, processes, governance, and insights that enable DET leaders to prioritize strategically, plan effectively, and deliver with confidence. Our FY28 strategy is anchored on five inter-connected domains: Portfolio Planning, Data & Systems Optimization, Tooling Enablement, Process Excellence & Governance, and Capacity Planning.
We are seeking a Strategic Portfolio Operations, Senior Analyst — a frontline, service-oriented role sitting at the intersection of Tooling Enablement and Portfolio Planning. You'll be a go-to resource for portfolio tooling and support, a key contributor to the broader SPM tooling ecosystem, and a hands-on Portfolio Partner supporting assigned DET pillars through the planning process. This is a high-visibility position — you'll partner closely with Pillar Portfolio Managers (PPMs), senior analysts, tooling owners, and pillar stakeholders across DET, with real room for growth within portfolio management, program management, or business operations.
What You’ll Actually Be Doing
SPM Tooling Support & Project Management
- Provide frontline customer support for the SPM custom tool stack (Airtable, Time tracking, Google App Script), answering how-to questions, troubleshooting issues, and routing complex issues to system owners.
- Apply project/program management discipline to SPM tooling and process initiatives — scoping enhancement requests, sequencing rollout plans, and tracking tooling projects from kickoff through delivery.
- Manage and prioritize the SPM tooling support backlog, keeping requests organized and stakeholders informed.
- Support maintenance of user documentation, FAQs, training materials, and process guides that drive adoption and consistency.
- Identify recurring issues and surface opportunities to streamline workflows and improve the day-to-day tooling experience, escalating to tooling owners as needed.
Portfolio Partnership & Planning Support
- Act as a Portfolio Partner for assigned DET pillars, assisting with Initiative intake, prioritization, and the quarterly/annual portfolio planning process.
- Support pillar teams through planning activities — ensuring data is complete, accurate, and submitted on time — and coordinate deadlines, follow-ups, and deliverables across assigned pillars during planning cycles.
- Help maintain portfolio data used for planning, reporting, and operational reviews.
- Provide operational and reporting support to PPMs and pillar stakeholders, and help document portfolio operating procedures and planning process guides.
You’re Our Person If…
- 3–5 years of experience in project management, business operations, customer/tooling support, program management, or a related discipline.
- Proven ability to build project plans, manage intake, track work through to completion, coordinate across stakeholders, and keep multiple priorities moving in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience with (or strong aptitude to quickly learn) work management or portfolio tools such as Airtable, Linear, Jira, or similar.
- Working knowledge of product/software development lifecycle (PDLC/SDLC) practices and how work flows from intake through planning, delivery, and review.
- A service-oriented mindset with excellent responsiveness, follow-through, and attention to detail, backed by strong written and verbal communication skills that make tools and processes clear to non-technical users.
- Comfort working with data and a commitment to accuracy in tracking, reconciliation, and routine quality checks.
- Bachelor's degree in any field, or equivalent practical experience.
Even Better If…
- Familiarity with time-tracking, resource management, or portfolio management tools and processes.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, portfolio planning, or governance processes.
- Exposure to Airtable, Slackbot, or similar SaaS automation and workflow tools, and familiarity with Tableau or other dashboarding/reporting platforms.
- Experience within a technology, digital transformation, or SaaS enterprise environment.
- Experience providing user support or running a help desk, ticketing, or support-request queue.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP/CAPM, SAFe, Tableau, or tool-specific) are a plus.
