Job Description Summary

• Process timely and accurately AP invoices, expense reports and all other kinds of accounting documents in compliance with applicable corporate policies and local accounting standards.
• Ensures all bookings are properly documented in compliance with relevant statutory requirements and corporate policies.
• Timely and accurate preparation and submission of all required statistical reports and filings.
• Prepares ad hoc reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing accounting data.
• Interacts with Head of accounting to ensure timely booking of all monthly transactions in regard with MEC and deadlines set.
• Interacts with Internal and External Auditors (in coordination with Country Finance Controller and Head of Accounting) in order to prepare required reports and to provide explanations on accounting transactions.
• Provides advice and support to BUs/Global Functions on tax and accounting related issues and queries.
• Respond to any accounting related queries coming from employees and vendors.

Job Family Definition:

Partners with the businesses to ensure that the capital strategies are operationally supported and strategically focused to secure the greatest return on investment for the global company. Gathers financial data and performs financial analyses and reporting (e.g., profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow, pricing, etc.) to influence decisions within the business and to drive cross-business initiatives (e.g., Mergers & Acquisitions). Drives the forecasting process (weekly, monthly, and long term) by analyzing trends within the businesses and ensuring alignment with business- and corporate-wide objectives. Communicates and drives adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the organization's financial goals and policies. Has the fiduciary responsibility to represent financial results correctly both internally and externally. Ensures strong business controls.

Management Level Definition:

Applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues. Works on problems of moderately complex scope. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.

Responsibilities:

• Provides moderately complex financial analysis that is either transactional or analytical for a financial function or a business.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with business leaders to actively ensure financial analysis needs are met.
• Handles more complex business issues.
• Provides analytics to business initiatives.
• Develops a deeper understanding of the company's financial processes and a detailed knowledge of the business.

Education and Experience Required:

• First level university degree with a focus in business or economics recommended or equivalent experience.
• Typically 2+ years of experience as a financial analyst.
• May have experience in more than one finance function.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Basic understanding of accounting processes and principles.
• Good analytical skills.
• Good business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
• Good communication skills.
• Good teamwork skills.

Additional Internal Job Description

• Experience with accounting software
• Diligence, attention to detail
• Knowledge of local tax and accounting legislation
• Bulgarian language and Bulgarian GAAP is a must
• Fluent in English language
• Flexible/adaptable to changes in processes, systems, etc.
