Senior Specialist – SCADA Design & Engineering At ENGIE, we are accelerating the shift to a cleaner, more connected energy world. Every project we deliver brings that future closer. We are looking for a Senior Specialist in SCADA Design and Engineering to help shape the digital backbone of our renewable energy assets across India and globally. In this role, you will lead the engineering and lifecycle management of SCADA and control systems for Solar PV, Wind, BESS, Hybrid plants, and Substation Automation. Your expertise will directly influence how our plants perform, how our teams operate, and how we meet the energy challenges of tomorrow. What You'll Do - Lead the design, deployment, and validation of SCADA systems across renewable energy projects from engineering through post-commissioning handover. - Review and validate system architecture, SLDs, tag lists, and data models from EPC contractors and OEMs against ENGIE standards. - Assess OT network designs and communication protocols including IEC 104, IEC 61850, Modbus, OPC, and DNP3. - Prepare SCADA technical specifications and tender documentation for PV, Wind, BESS, Hybrid, and substation projects. - Lead and support FAT and SAT activities, ensuring data accuracy, tag integrity, and telemetry performance. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with IT teams on infrastructure upgrades and cybersecurity enhancements. - Organize technical workshops with R&D and cross-functional teams to optimize plant performance and integrate emerging technologies. What You Bring - A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (BE/BTech or equivalent, full-time). - 10 to 12 years of experience in industrial engineering, preferably in renewable energy and large EPC environments. - Strong expertise in SCADA engineering documentation including SLDs, point lists, relay schemes, and architecture drawings. - In-depth knowledge of OT communication protocols, Power Plant Controllers (PPC), and cybersecurity principles. - Exposure to BESS integration, hybrid plant control logic, and storage SCADA systems. - Working knowledge of Python, Power BI, and digital or AI-based integrations. - Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to deliver under pressure.
