What a rise tells you

Taken together, these companies are posting more what they posted the month before. A rise in AI job ads often comes before a rise in headcount, a new product line or a funding round, but it is only a signal: one large opening round can lift a company for a single month.

Common questions

How does Level find companies that are hiring more for AI?

For each company, Level counts the Works on AI and Builds AI jobs posted in the last 30 days and in the 30 days before. Companies are ranked by the rise between the two. A company needs at least 3 such jobs in the recent period to be listed.

What counts as an AI job on this page?

Only jobs rated Works on AI (AI Level 3 of 4) or Builds AI (AI Level 4 of 4). Jobs rated Uses AI or Little AI are not counted, so a company hiring only people who use AI tools day to day does not show up here. The levels are explained on the levels page.

Why is a company I know missing from the list?

Three reasons. The company posted fewer than 3 Works on AI or Builds AI jobs in the last 30 days. Or its number of such jobs did not go up. Or Level added the company in the last 30 days, which is too recent to compare with the month before. Job boards that repost other employers' ads are left out too.

What is in the full list?

The full list covers every company on the rise, not only the first 10, with the job titles and locations behind each rise. It costs $99 and is updated every week. To get it, email Level from the button on this page.

How it is counted

  • Jobs counted: ads rated Works on AI or Builds AI, still open or closed since, with a posting date in the last 60 days. The recent period is the last 30 days up to the date in the stamp above. The earlier period is the 30 days before that.
  • Ranking: the rise is the recent count minus the earlier count. Ties go to the company with more recent jobs, then to the name. Companies need at least 3 recent jobs and a rise above zero.
  • Left out: companies Level added in the last 30 days, job boards that repost other employers' ads, and ads with no posting date. An ad reposted under a new date counts again.
  • Level's archive is young: ads that closed before Level first saw them are not counted, so the earlier period can read low and rises can look larger than they are.
  • The list refreshes about every 10 minutes from the job ads on Level.
