Finance Change & Transformation Expert
AI in this role
Activities:
We are looking for an experienced Finance Change & Transformation Expert to design and deliver change initiatives across Accounting, Financial Reporting and Regulatory Reporting, covering both Group and local requirements. Working across Finance, Business, Risk, Operations, Data and Technology, the role translates accounting and regulatory needs into sustainable processes, governed data flows and system solutions, supporting the progressive and responsible adoption of AI in Finance through prioritized use cases, controlled experimentation and evidence-based scaling.
The successful candidate will combine Finance and Reporting expertise with business analysis, project management and change execution capabilities, supported by sound Data Management and AI literacy. Key initiatives may include new accounting standards, evolving Group and local reporting frameworks, process optimization, data governance and quality improvements, and a phased AI adoption roadmap—from low-risk pilots and quick wins to broader deployment once value, controls and operational readiness are demonstrated— as well as core banking or Finance system transformations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end Finance change and transformation initiatives, from impact assessment and target solution design through implementation and post-go-live stabilization.
- Support Group and local subject-matter experts in assessing the impact of new or amended accounting standards, regulatory requirements and business products on accounting treatments, processes, controls, data, systems and reporting, including Data Management implications and the readiness of Finance processes for gradual AI adoption.
- Translate Group and local Finance needs into clear business and functional requirements, process designs, data specifications, data-quality, lineage and ownership requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Design and implement accounting, Financial Reporting and Regulatory Reporting solutions, introducing analytics, automation and approved AI capabilities progressively: identify and prioritize use cases, run controlled pilots, measure outcomes and scale proven solutions.
- Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across Finance, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Data and Technology, involving Group and local stakeholders.
- Define project scope, plans, milestones, dependencies, resources and governance; monitor delivery, risks, issues and remediation actions, and prepare concise decision papers and steering updates.
- Plan and coordinate functional and user acceptance testing, data migration, accounting reconciliation and reporting validation, including controls over data quality and, where relevant, AI output accuracy, explainability and human oversight.
- Ensure solutions are compliant, scalable, properly controlled and supported by clear audit trails and documentation, with appropriate data and AI governance, privacy, security and model-risk safeguards.
- Drive process simplification, standardization and automation while safeguarding the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial and regulatory information.
- Support stakeholder engagement, training, business readiness and transition to business-as-usual operations.
Required skills:
- Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least four years of audit experience, preferably with banks or other regulated financial institutions, followed by consulting or Finance transformation experience as a business or functional analyst, project manager or workstream lead (2 years minimum).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements and end-to-end Finance processes; knowledge of banking products and related accounting flows is highly desirable.
- Proven involvement in complex Finance initiatives, such as IFRS 9, IFRS 16 or IFRS 18 implementation, general ledger transformation, Finance data architecture, Data Management or AI-enabled process transformation, or core banking implementation.
- Understanding of bank prudential and supervisory reporting requirements and their linkage to source data, calculations, controls and reporting outputs, together with working knowledge of data governance, quality and lineage principles.
- Hands-on experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, impact analysis, solution design, testing, migration, reconciliation and implementation.
- Sound project management skills and familiarity with traditional and Agile delivery approaches, plus the ability to shape a pragmatic Finance AI roadmap, prioritize viable use cases, assess value and risks, and coordinate pilots and subsequent scaling with Data, Analytics, Technology and control functions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail and a pragmatic, delivery-oriented mindset.
- Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills, including interaction with senior management and international stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively across functions and geographies, managing ambiguity and multiple priorities.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
Key competencies:
- Finance expertise and business acumen
- Change leadership and delivery focus
- Structured analysis and problem solving
- Stakeholder influence and cross-functional collaboration
- Risk awareness, control mindset and auditability, including responsible Data and AI use
- Data fluency and a pragmatic, progressive AI adoption mindset
- Clear and concise communication
