As Finance Manager, you will be a key member of the Global Functions Finance team, partnering with senior stakeholders and budget holders to manage OPEX for Global Functions. You will provide forward-looking insight on performance and variances, support planning and month-end close cycles, and help improve financial decision-making, controls and processes.

 

This is an individual-contributor role with no direct reports, combining hands-on financial analysis with senior stakeholder partnering.

 

We are looking for an experienced finance professional who combines strong FP&A expertise with strong technical skills and a continuous-improvement mindset. Join the GSK Finance Hub – Europe and help shape financial performance across our Global Functions.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Own key month-end activities for Global Functions, delivering timely management reporting and clear commentary on the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow, as applicable.
  • Key member of the Global Functions Finance central team responsible for forecasting, planning and performance-management activities, identifying and implementing opportunities to simplify and improve the planning process.
  • Preparation of the Financial Plans and Latest Estimates for the assigned Global Function.
  • Manage actual and planned OPEX for the assigned Global Function, explaining performance against plan, identifying trends and root causes, and recommending actions to address risks and opportunities.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the monthly ExCom commentary and review pack during planning cycles.
  • Support the Senior Finance Director by identifying opportunities, constructively challenging assumptions and recommending actions that help achieve business objectives and mitigate financial risks.
  • Manage all aspects of CAPEX planning and reporting of consolidated actual results.
  • Drive cost consciousness, increasing engagement and skills development amongst budget holders.
  • Contribute to the GFF digital roadmap by identifying, developing and adopting automation, analytics and self-service solutions that improve the speed, quality and usability of financial information.
  • Maintain effective financial controls for the assigned area and support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation, responding to queries and coordinating timely remediation of findings.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • University degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related discipline.
  • At least five years of relevant finance experience, including FP&A, financial controlling, planning and forecasting, or management accounting in a complex organisation.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, build trusted relationships in a matrix organisation, and translate financial information into clear, actionable messages for non-finance audiences.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Very high analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel expertise.
  • Daily usage of AI tools for work augmentation.
  • SAP and consolidation systems expertise.
